Crater Mountain on a fine day
Crater Mountain on a fine day

You can visit the Crater Mountain Wildlife Management Area for the village experience of a lifetime and know that you are contributing to conservation of this magnificent Wildlife Management Area. It is the perfect destination for those wanting to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the rainforest while learning more about the traditional lifestyles of the people who call it ‘home’.

This is community-based ecotourism, initiated by the local people who want to preserve their forest and its wildlife for future generations to enjoy. Tourism in this form helps raise awareness of the need to conserve what un-spoiled areas we have left in the world. The income generated goes back into the community and provides an alternative income to that offered by non-sustainable land use practices such as large scale timber and mineral extraction.
