Primary teacher training workshop
Conservation Education Teacher Training Workshops are an important
part of this program. Teachers are instructed in the classroom implementation
of Habitat Ecology Learning Program (HELP) and Pablo Python Looks
at Animals Curricula that use the environment to teach a wide variety
of subjects including Geography, Maths, Expressive Arts, English and
Biology.
Elementary teacher training workshop
Pablo Python provides a broad introduction to basic ecological concepts
for lower grades. HELP goes into more depth covering areas
such as climate, habitat characteristics, adaptations and human impact
on natural habitats, and is designed for upper primary and high school
students. During the workshops, teachers carry out a variety of hands-on
activities such as designing murals, which they can confidently use
in the classrooms.
