Crater Mountain traditional artefacts

The artisans of the Crater Mountain Wildlife Management Area are extremely talented when it comes to producing beautiful artefacts such as bows, arm bands, spears, baskets, shields and bilums.

Natural products are used to color and construct each item making Crater Mountain Artefacts a unique, quality rainforest product. Most of these artefacts are made to generate some income to sustain their daily livelihoods.

While in the villages, visitors have the opportunity to observe and maybe get hands on experience when the local artisans are doing their work to get a better understanding of the special skill involved in creating these unique products.

Visitors and people who are interested to buy artefacts can enquire at the villages or at the RCF office in Goroka. Items are also sold by way of mail-order form.
